Interns in this role will be responsible for preparing, optimizing, and implementing 3D models, textures, animations, and visual effects. This includes reducing asset sizes, creating Level of Detail (LOD) models, optimizing lighting, and balancing graphical fidelity with performance. They will also develop shaders, particle effects, and procedural content that enhance immersion, as well as design custom tools and scripts to streamline asset workflows.

Collaboration is central to the Technical Artist’s work. Interns will work alongside designers, programmers, and instructional developers to align visuals with gameplay mechanics and educational objectives. They will also assist in integrating AI/LLM-driven solutions for dynamic art adjustments, procedural generation, and intelligent content delivery.

This SOP ensures new interns follow a consistent process for reviewing project requirements, preparing assets, importing them into Unity, Unreal Engine, or Godot, troubleshooting visual and performance issues, and finalizing content for cross-platform deployment.
